Semana Santa Buffet
At the end of each term our students hold an end of term buffet. The Hospitality students pick a theme then design the table set up, layout of the room and special cocktails. The Hospitality students then provide service throughout the event. Our Commercial Cookery and Patisserie students prepare all food.
This term our Hospitality students chose a Spanish Easter theme, Semana Santa. Greeted by a chorus of "hola!" and walking into the gorgeously decorated restaurant made us feel like we had just stepped off a plane in Spain.
All dish names were written on bottles with dietary requirement tags attached (thankfully the bull horns were not on the menu).
Each table had a selection of delicious appetisers for guest to enjoy on arrival.
Our fantastic Hospitality students with their trainers, there is always time for a group photo before the guests arrive.
Some delicious meat dishes including ox tongue and of course some rolls for the less adventurous palate.
We absolutely loves the ice block for the cold vegetable soup.

Students made some delicious hot dished including this chicken one.
It wouldn't be an End of Term ACAE buffet without Pork Belly… yumm!
Keeping with the Spanish theme the students made some delicious Patatas Bravas.
Who said carrots were a boring side dish? Seasoned carrots with rosemary.
We couldn't forget the greens
Huge dessert spread featuring panna cotta, banoffee cups, chocolate orange cups and an assortment of cakes. We couldn't even fit it into one pitcure.
There was also a number of chocolate centrepieces showing off the creativity of out Patisserie students.
All staff and trainers would like to say a huge well done to all of our students who were involved in the Semana Santa buffet. You did a fantastic job and we are counting down to the next one. We would also like to thank all of our guests who came along to support our students.
